Farmers' Market Produce Makes Perfect Cottage Foods

If you're at the Minnesota State Fair, be sure to stop in and say hi!

MFMA's Director of Engagement and Inclusion, Sina War, will do a cooking demo featuring fresh in-season produce found at any of our 400+ farmers' markets during peak August - produce that is also perfect as a cottage food.

Selected audience members will be invited to practice with MFMA's pH meter kits, learning to calibrate them and then test Sina's home-canned and home-processed cottage foods. Key components of Minnesota's cottage foods law will be shared with fairgoers, with a QR code directing them to MFMA's free and open access Cottage Foods Law Licensing Exemption manual.
