Whenever you can, wherever you are!
As a 501(c)6 non-profit organization, MFMA relies on volunteers to keep improving our programs and services. Volunteering is a great way to share your talents and get to know our members. Be part of a dynamic group of local food enthusiasts!
We are particularly in need of the following expertise:
Daniel brings a great deal of knowledge about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as food stamps) to the MFMA. He currently serves on the Food Access Committee.
After graduating from Hamline University with a degree in Public Service and History in the spring of 2015, Daniel began a year of service with AmeriCorps VISTA. He served with the Chisago City Farmers Market as manager of SNAP outreach.
Daniel’s wealth of knowledge of the local food system, and deep connections to many in the local and regional food system will bring a fresh perspective to the MFMA Food Access Committee.
