Farmers' Market Coalition (FMC): The Farmers' Market Coalition is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit      dedicated to strengthening farmers' markets across the United States so that they can serve as community assets while providing real income opportunities for farmers.

 Hunger Solutions MN (HMS): Hunger Solutions is a comprehensive hunger relief organization that works to end hunger in Minnesota.

Local Foods Advisory Committee (LFAC): The intent of this advisory committee is to provide a non-adversarial setting where issues relating to local meat and food can be raised and discussed, information can be shared and problem-solving between Minnesota Department of Agriculture, Minnesota Department of Health, and the local food community can take place.   

Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA): Our mission is to enhance Minnesotans' quality of life by ensuring the integrity of our food supply, the health of our environment, and the strength of our agricultural economy. 

Minnesota Department of Health (MDH): The department’s mission is to protect, maintain and improve the health of all Minnesotans. It has about 1,500 employees and an annual budget of approximately $500 million in state, federal and fee-based funds.

Minnesota Fruits and Vegetable Growers Association (MFVGA): MFVGA seeks to encourage and improve fruit and vegetable production and marketing through sponsorship of a variety of educational opportunities, the MFVGA Newsletter, sponsorship of vegetable and small fruit research, cooperative efforts with state and federal institutions, and the coordination of group purchases of berry plants and produce bags.  

Minnesota Grown: The Minnesota Grown Program is a statewide partnership between the Minnesota Department of Agriculture and Minnesota producers of specialty crops and livestock. It was created over 25 years ago by specialty crop growers to differentiate their produce from competitor’s produce from thousands of miles away.  

Minnesota Institute of Sustainable Agriculture (MISA):  The purpose of The Minnesota Institute for Sustainable Agriculture (MISA) is to bring together the diverse interests of the agricultural community with interests from across the University community in a cooperative effort to develop and promote sustainable agriculture in Minnesota and beyond.  

Renewing the Countryside (RTC): Renewing the Countryside strengthens rural areas by championing and supporting rural communities, farmers, artists, entrepreneurs, educators, activists and other people who are renewing the countryside through sustainable and innovative initiatives, businesses, and projects. 

Statewide Heath Improvement Program (SHIP)SHIP focuses on increasing physical activity, improving nutrition and reducing the number of people who use tobacco or are exposed to it.    

Sustainable Farming Organization (SFA):The Sustainable Farming Association of Minnesota supports the development and enhancement of sustainable farming systems through farmer-to-farmer networking, innovation, demonstration, and education.  

United States Department of Agriculture (USDA):   We provide leadership on food, agriculture, natural resources, rural development, nutrition, and related issues based on public policy, the best available science, and effective management. We have a vision to provide economic opportunity through innovation, helping rural America to thrive; to promote agriculture production that better nourishes Americans while also helping feed others throughout the world; and to preserve our Nation's natural resources through conservation, restored forests, improved watersheds, and healthy private working lands.
